Android Market is an online software store developed by Google for Android devices, An application program ("app") called "Market" is preinstalled on most Android devices and allows users to browse and download apps published by third-party developers. The Android Market was announced on 28 August 2008. On 17 March 2009, there were about 2,300 applications available for download from the Android Market. On December 31, 2010 the Android market reached the 200,000 app milestone.
